This document describes how your information is collected on 47th Avenue, when it is collected, how it is used and in which way it is shared whenever you use or visit the 47th Avenue.
47th Avenue receives your information through our platforms, including the web, Mobile web, desktop apps, Mobile apps, APIs email notifications, SMS and our widgets. For example, whenever you register, upload content /materials or access our platforms using any of our avenues, you send us your information. When using any of our Services you consent to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. Irrespective of which country you reside in or supply information from, you authorize Xpal Africa to use your information in the Federal Republic of Nigeria and any other country where Xpal Africa or the 47th Avenue operates

How we collect and use your information
The information we collect from you is used to provide you with our service and also top improve it in the process of time

Information Collected Upon Registration: When you sign up into the 47th Avenue or when you open a new outfit/outlet, or participate in a trade-fair on the 47thAvenue whether as an organizer or a vendor, you provide some personal information, such as your name, username, password, and email address.
Your combination of your username, email address and password is used to identify you and to grant you access into the platform on the various available avenues including the web, the mobile web, mobile apps, desktop apps and widgets.
When you upload a content or material which you want to display publicly especially for a commercial or informational purpose, some of this information, for example, your name, e-mail address, phone number, website address are listed with the content or material to allow other users interested in the content or entries which you upload to be able to contact you.
We also use information such as your email address and phone number to send you notifications and messages per time as described in our‘Terms of Use’ documents under NOTICES.

Country and Location Information:We use information like your country and location to determine what uploaded entries, contents and material are relevant to you per time based on the country and location for which entries, contents and materials are uploaded in.
We may also use your Country and location to deliver to you adverts and paid contents which are relevant to you per time.

Links:Xpal Africa may keep track of how you interact with links across our platform, including our email notifications, third-party services, and client applications, by redirecting clicks or through other means. We do this to help improve the services we render top you, to provide more relevant advertising, and to be able to share aggregate click statistics such as how many times a particular link was clicked on.

Cookies: Like many websites, we use "cookie" technology to collect additional website usage data and to improve our Services, but we do not require cookies for many parts of our Services such as searching and looking at public user profiles or lists. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer's hard disk. Xpal Africa may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with our Services, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on our Services, and to customize and improve our Services. Log Data: Our servers automatically record information ("Log Data") created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, the referring web page, pages visited, location, your mobile carrier, device and application IDs, search terms, and cookie information. We receive Log Data when you interact with our Services, for example, when you visit our websites, sign into our Services, interact with our email notifications, or try to download our mobile application in order to recognise your device, carrier and operating system to enable us supply you with the right application pack for your device. Xpal Africa uses Log Data to provide our Services and to measure, customize, and improve them. If not already done earlier, we will either delete Log Data or remove any common account identifiers, such as your username, full IP address, or email address, after 18 months.
Third-Party Service Providers:Xpal Africa may use a variety of third-party services to help provide our Services, such as hosting our various blogs and wikis, and to help us understand the use of our Services, such as Google Analytics. These third-party service providers may collect information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, such as cookies or your IP address.
How we Share and Disclose your information
It is important you know that we do not disclose your private personal information except in the limited circumstances described here.

Your Consent: We may share or disclose your information at your direction, such as when you authorize a third-party web client or application to access your 47th Avenue account or when you put up a content, material or entry for commercial purposes or trading.

Third Party Service Providers: We engage service providers to perform functions and provide services to us in the Nigeria and abroad. We may share your private personal information with such service providers subject to confidentiality obligations consistent with this Privacy Policy, and on the condition that the third parties use your private personal data only on our behalf and pursuant to our instructions.

Legal: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Policy, we may preserve or disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation or legal request; to protect the safety of any person; to address fraud, security or technical issues; or to protect Xpal Africa's or 47th Avenue’s rights or property. However, nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party’s, including a government’s, request to disclose your information.

Business Concerns: In the event that 47th Avenue or Xpal Africa is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. The promises in this Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity.
Non-Private or Non-Personal Information: We may share or disclose your non-private, aggregated or otherwise non-personal information, such as your Account Name for the purposes of interaction on our platform.

Editing your Personal Information/ Deletion of your Account
If you are a registered user of our platform, we provide you with options and settings to allow you access or modify the personal information you provided to us and associated with your account.
Your account, outfit/outlet may also be deactivated by the 47th Avenue Admin or suspended. If this happens, the deactivated or suspend Account, outfit/outlet will not be visible or viewable on the 47thAvenue. However, the account, outfit /outlet will still be available on our servers till it is reactivated or the suspension is lifted.
You can also permanently delete your 47th Avenue main account or close down and outfit/outlet associated with your account with all contents, materials or entries in that account, outfit/outlet. If you click on the delete function to either delete your main account or an outfit/outlet and all the contents, material and entries therein on the 47th Avenue, it will be deactivated and then deleted. When your account is deactivated, it is not viewable on 47th Avenue. For up to 30 days after deactivation it MAY still be possible to restore your account if it was accidentally or wrongfully deleted. After 30 days, we begin the process of deleting your account permanently from our systems, which can take up to 2weeks.
Some message you send or upload especially to another user may have been saved by the user and may still remain after you delete your account.

Our Policy as concerning Children
Our Services are not directed to persons under 16 without parental consent. If you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at info@xpalafrica.com with the subject “underage”. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we take steps to remove such information and terminate the child's account.

Changes to this Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the policy will govern our use of your information and will always be at www.47thavenue.com/privacy. If we make a change to this policy that, in our sole discretion, is material, we will notify you via our Notices which may include but not limited to messages to your account’s message box on 47th Avenue, e-mail notification and SMS to the email and phone number respectively associated with your account. By continuing to access or use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
